He/she assists the Area SalesManager (ASM) in delivering the overall regional sales objectives, supervises,fine-tunes and monitors the execution and takes proactive initiatives to ceaseevery opportunity to increase the sales in accordance with the companies’policies and strategies.He/she heads and coaches the distributor Sales Team in the territory. It ishis/her obligation to form an efficient and effective team that is perfectlycooperating with all internal and external partners.Successful performance requiresStrong communication and negotiation skillsSound forward thinking and planning skillsAnalytical skills to handle complex situationsTaking the full responsibility for decisions and repercussions`Clear commitment and vision to steer the distribution teamLocation: BangaloreDetailed Responsibilities (non-conclusive):Business ObjectivesTo achieve volume and value objectives of the assigned territory withinbudget, time and policy parameters through efficient control of the networkunder chargeExecuting the agreed strategic alliances with key outletsTimely implementation and follow-ups for monthly activity/ promotions specificto outlet and chainLiaison with Merchandising team for branding activities at storesOperating all Schemes & Promotional Activities (Marketing & Sales) as perprior approvals and discussed during the monthly review meetingsResponsible for Controlling Dominant shelf space in the Key AccountsManaging health of distributor channel on a monthly basisAssisting the Area Sales Manager at Sales forecasting Brand and SKU wisewhile looking at the Market PotentialTraining & Development of distributor sales team, providing timely feedbackin the market & through monthly review and meetingsFinancial ResponsibilitiesDocumentation of outlet expenses (damages, trade schemes, promotionalexpenses, visibility expenses) on a monthly basis for audit purposesSettling distributor and outlet claims (within stipulated timeframe)Submitting NOCs (No Objection Certificate)from distributors on a quarterly basisfrom Traditional Trade stores on an annual basisEfficiency tracking of all the investments and promotions in all the outletsDistributor ResponsibilitiesEnsure all planned distributors in the zone are appointed in time and areoperational through proper coordinationEvaluate the performance of the distributorsResponsible for destroying damaged/ expired goods in physical presence atdistributor premises with prior approvalü Managing health of distributor channel on a monthly basis:ü Speed of claim settlementü Monitoring damages as a percentage of salesü Maintaining sales and stock registerü Generating primary orders to maintain adequate stock levels at any givenpointü Generating weekly indent to maintain healthy sales skew for the monthü Maintaining distributor MIS according to company normsEnsure optimal distribution cost by reviewing Routing & Scheduling on aquarterly basisMonitoring inventory control, thereby ensuring ready availability of the stockas per the market demand and implement effective logistic strategiesAppointment of DSR, Salesforce by identifying gap and for optimizing width& Depth of DistributionOutlet ResponsibilitiesEnsure gold standard merchandising (display / visibility) by executing setplanogramMaintain a database of all Traditional Trade outlets (administrative,commercial, business details)Plan a regular (monthly) journey plan for regional Traditional Tradepersonnel with ASMMaintain company assets in Traditional Trade outletsEnsuring timely Implementation of Visibility, Promotional Schemes, andDisplay of POP material, Banner, Billboard Etc.Plan and implement promotional campaigns suiting the customer segmentsin the local market responsible for utilization of promotional budgets for theterritoryCompetition Tracking ResponsibilitiesReviewing and interpreting the competition after in-depth analysis of marketinformation to fine-tune the marketing strategiesEnsure proper and immediate feedback for appropriate and timely actionReporting ResponsibilitiesMeet all reporting schedules to ensure accuracy of informationMonitor results on weekly / monthly basis to determine deviations fromplans and take necessary corrective actionsAdministrative reporting to the Area Sales Manager of area concernedKeep track of Secondary Sales, and regularly conduct reviews withextended sales teamResponsible for MIS reporting with online IT enabled systemRequired Qualification:Education: Graduate in any principleDegree / Diploma in Business Management or related subject preferred5+ years of experience in SalesMinimum 2 years responsibility for handling Traditional Trade in IndiaPC Know-how: Good Microsoft-Office skillsLanguages: Basic command of spoken and written EnglishSecrecy:The incumbent is strictly obliged to keep company-information as a secret,especially after termination of the labor-relation.Organisation:The Business Development Executive reports to the Area Sales Manager.Main Contacts:Internal:External:● Distributors and retail clientsThis job description is a general guideline for the scope of the position.
