Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:• Detailing (80%)The incumbent is responsible for detailing and to educate doctors throughinformative dialogue: He/she has to provide a highlevel of knowledge (both product and disease state) to ensure doctor confidence inrecommending product. He/she needs to manage the distribution of the relevant POS, samplesand other marketing materials to doctors where applicable the incumbent will be responsiblefor negotiating to be retailed from the Doctors office. It will be required to set up a cabinet and assist to set up ordering process in medical practice for in order to drivevisibility, distribution, awareness and sales• Pharmacy Training (20%)The incumbent is responsible for ongoing pharmacy front shop & pharmacist education in orderto generate recommendations for Company product to the pharmacy. He/she will also be training largegroups as organized by head office.• Congress and Events, CMEThe incumbent is responsible for attending relevant congresses, and arranging own regionalevents in order to further develop medical practitioner and pharmacy relations andrecommendations.• PlanningIncumbent is responsible for Territory Management (call & route planning) at most efficienttime/ cost benefit and maintaining their data base of targeted clients• Other1. Teamvoice – the incumbent will participate in the annual Team Voice audit conductedby BDF.2. Customer (Doctor) related queries & issues – internal and external – It is theresponsibility of the incumbent to respond to any queries or issues relating to his or hercustomer account (s)3. Meetings – internal – It is the responsibility of the incumbent to attend internal meetingsand to input where necessary to help support other BDF functions.4. Database Management – it is the responsibility of the incumbent to update/manage andanalyze the Doctors Database.5. PIs – it is the responsibility of the incumbent (where relevant) to ensure that PIs areintroduced to customers appropriately to ensure that pricing is accepted and facilitatedin a timely and efficient manner.6. Filing – it is the responsibility of the incumbent to ensure that all information relating totheir accounts is clearly filed electronically on the BDF Shared drive or in the paper filesfor the relevant customer. All files must be kept up to date.7. Competitor activity– it is the responsibility of the incumbent to regularly feedbackcompetitor activities in the doctor’s office.Key Requirements :• Calls on, develops and manages strong relationships with Pharmacists, Beauty Advisorsand Store Managers.• Acts as the “face of The Company” through contact with medical professionals andparticipates actively in the sales marketing campaign.• Maintains superior levels of product, market and formulary information, and translatesproduct features into benefits that meet the specific customer’s needs.• Builds and maintains favorable strong relationships with key opinion leaders to enhancethe professionalism of the company and transfer the message of the brands.• Expert on the portfolio indications related to the Company’s products and the brands.• Participating in all annual and mandatory internal training requirements.• Marketing all products and driving sales through the pharmacy/dispensing points.• Consult and training on the Company’s range of products and related medicalConditionsQualifications:A tertiary qualification in Life Sciences, Sales, Marketing or BusinessSkills and experience required:Minimum 2 years sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in dermatologyExperience of direct selling to pharmacies in the territory as well as established relationships is amust.Strong sales performance track recordProficiency in Business English (written & spoken).Generic portfolio direct sales experience will be advantageous Advanced proficiency in MS Office
